Saul has responsibility for Shipwire’s global network of warehouses, as well as the movement of goods from their point of origin, to Shipwire warehouses, and ultimately to the consumer. Saul brings over 20 years of operations leadership experience to Shipwire. Previously, Saul was senior vice president of operations at Superba, Inc., where he established and managed growth of factories and warehouses for this international necktie manufacturer, with more than $200 million in revenues. His career there spanned more than two decades, during which time he built the Superba campus, designed the plant and warehouse layouts, implemented a distribution system stretching across four continents, and managed over 600 employees across multiple warehouse locations. On the power of its supply chain, Superba became the largest and most prosperous necktie company operating today in the United States, and was recently acquired by the Phillips Van-Heusen Corporation, a multi-Billion dollar apparel conglomerate. Saul’s mantra is to “treat every customer order, regardless of size or frequency, as though it may be our last.”

Prior to that, he spent five years as a senior manager of logistics strategy at Gap, where he created processes to manage warehouse network performance, statistical models to predict future carrier performance, and guidelines to improve vendor relations and minimize special handling. Prior to Gap, Dan spent four years at UPS Worldwide Logistics, where he led efforts to create a real-time order tracking system and assembly process for Hewlett Packard.

Glen become a Director of Shipwire in June 2007. As a co-founder of Meakem Becker Venture Capital, he has earned a national reputation as a new economy leader and innovator. His success as an entrepreneur has been accompanied by a strict code of personal and professional ethics, and an ability to build strong teams of likeminded individuals. Glen’s entry into the venture capital industry was preceded by a widely chronicled role as co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FreeMarkets, Inc., which was the leading provider of internet deployed software and services for automating the sourcing processes of Global 1000 companies. Glen and his team took FreeMarkets public in late 1999, and after growing the company significantly through the post bubble technology recession, sold the company to Ariba, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARBA) in 2004 for approximately $500 million. Glen graduated A.B. cum laude from Harvard University in 1986, and later earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1992 after returning from the First Gulf War — where he volunteered for active duty as a platoon leader. His pioneering work on e-commerce methods and inventions has resulted in eight U.S. patents.
