Here is how it works:

1. Set up Doba and Shipwire accounts.

a. Establish a Doba Supplier account here. This takes less than 30 minutes and please try and be complete when filling it out. IMPORTANT. To speed the approval process you should insert the term “SHIPWIRE” in two fields when signing up for a doba account. This notifies Doba that you intend to use Shipwire to do drop ship fulfillment.

• Doba Setup Step 3 Screen – Question “If more than 1 warehouse, what is the postal code of your primary warehouse?” Put in “SHIPWIRE”.

• Doba Setup Step 4 Screen – Question “Where did you hear about Doba? If referral, who?” Put in “SHIPWIRE”.

• Once complete Doba will send you confirmation e-mail and give you access to SMB Supplier Utopia. Walk through the process of identifying and providing product data, images and price points.

• You will also get an FTP Password and Account ID. You will need these credentials to connect Shipwire and Doba.

• Doba will give you a set of best practices for shipping, customer notifications and returns handling. You can make these preferences in your Shipwire account to automate the entire process.

c. Install the Doba “Sell Tool” into your account. Go to “Sell” and add “Doba” to your account. Follow the short set of instructions and insert your Doba credentials. See pictures below.

d. You must set up your product catalog within Doba for products that you want to syndicate through Doba. Your Shipwire product catalog today will not be directly copied as Doba requires information not present in the Shipwire data base (pricing and images being examples). Please make sure that your product identifiers are the same between your Shipwire catalog and your Doba catalog. you can download a .csv file of your Shipwire product catalog so that you can edit it and upload to Doba by doing the following – Log into your Shipwire account; Select “Store” in the left hand navigation; Select “Add Products” in the left hand navigation; select the radial button for “upload a spreadsheet”; select the next radial button “Just products”. A “Download Template” link will appear in the box below the radial button. Select Excel, Tab-delimited or .csv. All your products and dimensions will be on this spreadsheet. You an use this to add your product catalog to Doba.

Note: If you are adding new products to your inventory and want your Shipwire inventory counts to synchronize with Doba, you should add the new product to Doba first. Then add the product to Shipwire. Once added to Shipwire, Shipwire will attempt to synch with Doba (note, this process sometimes takes a couple hours).

2. Thousands of online drop ship merchants and e-tailers will now have access to your product catalog. They will sell your products and Doba will receive the order for drop ship fulfillment from Shipwire warehouses.

3. Doba sends completed order notifications to Shipwire. Shipwire pick, packs and ships the product to end buyers. Shipwire tells Doba that the product was shipped and the tracking id status.

What is drop shipping? Also called direct selling, drop shipping is when a merchant sells a product without having to physically handle it. The merchant sells product being warehoused by a supplier and the order gets fulfilled by the supplier without the merchant having to ship it to the buyer.
