Product Level Information for Customs Processing
International orders shipped from a Shipwire warehouse to customers in a different country require additional paperwork for customs processing. Although Shipwire takes care of this paperwork for you, one of the requirements is that you provide us with the country of origin of the products included in the order. It is worth noting that orders may get faster customs processing times if customs paperwork also includes the products’ Harmonized Tariff System (or Harmonized System Number) – a 6 digit numeric tariff code from World Customs Organization. You can find a recent list of codes here. Although we don’t require either of these fields at the time when you define your product, note that international orders that do not have at least the Country of Origin field defined will generate Shipwire holds.
