Ingram Micro Rebrands

Ingram Micro has rebranded with a new logo that represents its “evolution from a distribution powerhouse to the world leader in technology and supply chain services”.

The corporate refresh comes after some major investments in the past year, including the acquisition of cloud aggregator SoftCom in September and e-commerce firm Shipwire in October, and the launch of its cloud marketplace in November. Ingram Micro Buys Shipwire to Expand e-Commerce Services

Ingram Micro Inc., a wholesale distributor of electronics and mobile phones, said it will expand its supply chain services after purchasing Shipwire Inc., a global company that ships products ordered online.

“The addition of Shipwire will enable us to accelerate our growth in a $40 billion market for e-commerce fulfillment,” Micro Ingram CEO Alain Monie said.

Shipwire Acquired by Tech-Distributor Ingram Micro

Shipwire Inc. is being usurped by Ingram Micro, though it hasn’t been revealed whether the tech distributor will pay for the warehousing/fulfillment-services company.

Distributing computer parts to more than 150 countries, Santa Ana, Calif.-based Ingram Micro handles a full range of big-name manufacturers, including Apple, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Microsoft and Samsung.
