Update Product SKUs for Export in Your Shipwire Catalog

In order to maintain export compliance, all Product SKUs in your Shipwire Catalog must contain valid country codes and HS codes. To avoid order holds and delays, please update required information for all products intended for export in your Shipwire Product Catalog.
 

How Do I Update Product SKUs?

If you only have a few products in your Shipwire Product Catalog, you can easily edit each SKU manually.

  1. Log into your Shipwire Account and navigate to Inventory > Product Catalog.
  2. Select an SKU and click Edit.
  3. In section 4 of the Product Catalog, enter the Country of Origin and Harmonized System Code and save.

 

If you only have a few products in your Shipwire Product Catalog, you can easily edit each SKU manually.

  1. Log into your Shipwire Account and navigate to Inventory > Product Catalog.
  2. Click Add Multiple Products.
  3. Choose Download a Template and, in the dialog box, select Download Your Product List.

  4. Once you’ve downloaded your Product Catalog Spreadsheet, populate:

    Column O [country_of_origin]: Use the 2-digit ISO 3136 country code.

    Column P [HS_code]: This is a 6-digit code that identifies your product for Customs and Import requirements. The Harmonized System (HS) 6-digit code is not import country specific. See this list for reference: http://hts.usitc.gov/.

  5. Once populated, upload the spreadsheet back into your Shipwire Account by navigating to Add Multiple Products per steps 1 and 2.
  6. Click Choose File and navigate to your updated products spreadsheet.
  7. Validate that no Problem SKU’s are identified. If issues are found, correct the issues and retry the upload. If no issues are found, click Upload.

  8. Tip! Be sure the data you provide matches what is found in the instruction section of the document, rows 36 – 44. (Ex: If the country code is capitalized, use the same format).
