Q.What are the new addresses of the fulfillment centers and what are the respective receiving times?

Q.What happens if a return gets sent back to the old fulfillment center?

A.If a return is sent to Tin Shui Wai, we will work with the team to reroute it to Shenzhen.

All customers and their suppliers will need to send in their ASNs and RMAs. As you see above, there are two different receiving addresses: Parcel Couriers should ship to Hong Kong, China and Freight Forwarders should ship to Shenzhen, China.

Q.Will any services be impacted during this transition (i.e. delay in orders, delivery times, etc.)?

A.We do not anticipate a large impact to services, as our teams are dedicated to minimizing disruptions and will be working diligently to avoid delays. However, there may be an impact to regular operations during the move.

Q.What is the impact to inbound/outbound shipping activity?

A.A few points to answer:

      • For inbound, we offer the option to deliver FCL/LCL/truck/air/ocean cargoes directly to the Shenzhen address. This is the fastest and most cost-efficient delivery option.
      • For small parcel, courier and customer returns, we have a Hong Kong cross-dock address that offers a daily line haul from Hong Kong to the master warehouse along the border of Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Please note that deliveries to and from Hong Kong are subject to Hong Kong import and export declaration fees.
      • Outbound shipping activity is expected to remain the same or be faster than before. All outbound shipments go via Hong Kong as before. For example, courier shipments will be moved from our Shenzhen to HKG airport directly, resulting in faster hand-over time to the carrier.

Q.What third party carriers are supported out of Shenzhen?

A.We currently support DHL for third party parcel and all carriers for freight.

Q.What specifically will change with this move? Are you expecting faster SLAs, higher accuracy, etc?

A.This site has demonstrated operational excellence in operations. We are excited to share the following benefits:

Q.We still honor SLAs during the move?

A.We will make every effort to honor existing SLAs, however during the move process there will be delays to shipments until your inventory has been processed and moved to the new Shenzhen warehouse. For those customers that that have not yet been moved or have completed their move, all SLAs will be honored.

Q.Will this location have a team for projects?

A.Yes, there is a dedicated team for special projects. They are dedicated kitting lines and production areas for rework, repacking and relabeling.

 

Q.Will inbound POs addressed to the old fulfillment center be sent to the new fulfillment center?

A.Any deliveries that arrive after 4/1/18 will be redirected to the new facility Shenzhen, China warehouse. The anticipated cut off times for ANSs & POs are identified below:

Q.Are the same carriers available?

A.Carrier options are identified below. The Hong Kong local carrier has changed to SF Express. Asendia/Swisspost has been for postal shipments. DHL Express and Hong Kong Post are not changing. New carrier options will be offered later.

Q.Are there any customs or declaration fees because the new facility is located inside of a Free Trade Zone?

A.Ingram Micro will handle all inbound and outbound shipments to the Free Trade Zone area at no extra cost to you. However, import and export fees associated with standing with freight forwarding are standard and still apply. Such fees are typically included in the transportation cost and are billed by carriers.

 

Facility questions

Q.What kind of onsite security is there?

A.This is a TAPA A certified facility.

Q.Do you own this facility? If not, is the relationship better to allow for more control?

A.The Shenzhen facility is operated by Ingram Micro, and will be run by our own team in Shenzhen. This site has demonstrated excellence in operations and has an extremely skilled leadership team throughout the facility.

 

Inventory operations questions

Q.What happens if a return gets sent back to the old fulfillment center?

A.If a return is sent back to Tin Shui Wai, we will work with the warehouse to route the inventory to Shenzhen. This may cause delays.

Q.How long will inventory be held while the transition takes place?

A.We anticipate that orders will not ship for 5 business days. We will communicate an action plan to you if anything changes.

Q.Will you be transferring inventory in stages to avoid holding all my inventory?

A.No, all inventory will be moved at once during your scheduled time.

Q.Will I be notified when you begin moving my inventory? Will you tell me the specific SKUs you’re moving?

A.Yes, you will be informed when we move your inventory and all SKUs at the Tin Shui Wai, Hong Kong warehouse will be moved at the same time.

 

Strategic questions

Q.Why is the move occurring?

A.The Shenzhen facility offers a more advantageous location, new solutions and allows us to manage operations in-house.

Q.Are there any changes to pricing or fees as a result of this move?

A.We do not anticipate significant changes to your fee schedule as a result of this move.

 

Shipwire Platform questions

Q.When will the facility be visible within the Shipwire Platform?

A.This facility will be visible in the Shipwire platform on April 1st, 2018.

 

Additional questions

Q.Will there be any disruption?

A.Note the following:

      • We have plans in place to minimizing disruptions. However, there may be some impact to regular operations during the move.
      • We anticipate that orders will not ship for a 5 business days and we will communicate an action plan if any changes occur.

Q.Where do I ship inventory now?

A.You can begin shipping product to the following addresses on March 19th:

Q.Do I need to make appointments for freight deliveries to this location?

A.Yes, you must schedule a delivery for inbound freight orders one pallet or larger. Please contact or have your forwarder/supplier contact transport.cnsz@ingrammicro.com. Inbound freight orders without an appointment will be refused.

Q.What happens if I accidentally send a courier or postal package to Shenzhen address by DHL Express or another courier?

A.Due to the courier import clearance processed at the customs entry gateway to China (same as in other countries), the package would be subject to local duties, taxes and handling fees as well as transfer fees into our facility. If you do not agree to pay such fees to your courier, the package will be returned to you or destroyed. This applies to all non-document shipments. Documents with no commercial value can be sent to the Shenzhen address. Truck, LCL, FCL air and ocean cargo can enter our Shenzhen facility without any duties and taxes payable. For all other shipments please use the Hong Kong cross-dock address provided, keeping in mind that Hong Kong also has its own import and export declaration fees.

Q.What is the return process during the move?

A.There is no change to the return process during the move, but there may be short delays to the process. If returns are sent to Tin Shui Wai, HK, for a limited period of time, that team will receive and track them for us and reroute them to our Shenzhen facility.

Q.If it occurs, how will Ingram Micro handle excessive inventory loss? Credits?

A.Please see the existing policy for damaged inventory, credits and loss of inventory

Q.What will we do with damaged inventory? Will it be moved or will it be disposed of?

A.If there is any inventory damaged during the move, it will follow existing protocols.
